Description

Welcome to Sandy Oaks Raceway.  Nestled in the southwestern corner near Lauder Mb, this track has it all.  Sandy Oaks raceway held the inaugural MDR race in 2009, and has been a staple on the schedule every year since.  As the name implies, it is a sand event through and through.  It hosts a large camping area complete with fire rings and ample firewood for all.  Close to 160 acres makes up a vast trail network that has large oak trees and significant elevation change.  The pro loop is upwards of 12 kilometres in length, and features a full natural sand motocross track.  Sandy oaks has a dedicated pee-wee (50cc) motocross track that is always a crowd favourite.  The youth loop is a fun filled winding trail with moderate elevation change.  The peewee, youth, beginner and pro loops all feature numerous log crossings, hill climbs, and fast sandy trails that will test the most seasoned rider.  All riders will navigate a hydro pole chicane at the beginning or end of each lap.    If camping is not your style, hotels and amenities are a short drive away to Melita or Virden.  We look forward to welcoming you to the sand box.
